EGOS 100% Wool Slippers Brown

Designed in Denmark, these stylish unisex slippers are handmade in Nepal by Fair Trade certified producers.

It takes time to make an egos slipper. One worker can only make 2 pairs a day. The raw wool used in egos slippers derives from New Zealand sheep and is dyed using eco-friendly dyes before being carded. The carded wool is shaped using soapy water which is massaged into it, causing the small fibres in the wool to link together. The wet slippers are then dried in the sun, after which the suede sole is sewn on.

Sheep wool is the perfect material for slippers. Wool is a natural product with an amazing capacity to insulate. The wool allows feet to breathe and therefore egos slippers will never feel too hot or too cold. Wool can absorb up to 30% moisture without feeling wet, and without losing the ability to insulate. In addition, wool fabric contains Lanolin. Lanolin makes the wool resistant to moisture, dust, dirt, and also reduces odour.

The slippers will mould to the shape of your particular foot after wearing around the home.

Vacuum your egos slippers to remove dust.

Once vacuumed the slippers may be washed in wool soap either by hand or in the washing machine on the wool program at 30 degrees. The shoes will not be damaged by centrifugation.

After the slipper has been washed put the wet shoes on to your feet so that they remould to your feet. Then take the slipper off and place somewhere warm to dry.
